Oddworld: New 'n' Tasty!
Step back into the bizarre, industrial sci-fi world of Od...
Murasaki Baby begins in a gloomy, nightmarish realm where a fragile, tearful baby girl holding a glowing heart-shaped balloon suddenly finds herself alone and terrified. To help Baby find her way home, you must navigate her through a series of bizarre, beautifully rendered stages populated by peculiar monsters, eerie machinery, and hazardous obstacles. The narrative unfolds entirely without spoken dialogue, relying instead on striking visual storytelling, emotional body language, and a moody, atmospheric soundtrack that captures the vulnerability of childhood fears.
The core gameplay is built from the ground up around the PlayStation Vita's unique control layout. Rather than using standard buttons to move Baby directly, you interact with the world via the touchscreen and rear touchpad. Dragging Baby gently across the screen guides her timid steps, while swiping or tapping interacts with environmental hazards. You can also manipulate different "hearts" that grant Baby special gameplay modifiers—such as fire, vacuum, or light properties—to solve puzzles, defeat grotesque bosses, and clear a safe path through the darkness.

Surreal Gothic Aesthetic: Immerse yourself in a visually striking, hand-drawn art style that evokes a haunting storybook nightmare.
Innovative Touch Mechanics: Guide Baby and manipulate the environment entirely using the PlayStation Vita's touchscreen and rear touchpad capabilities.
Heart Property System: Collect and equip different emotional hearts (such as burning, floating, or shocking hearts) to overcome specific environmental puzzles.
Atmospheric Soundscape: Experience an evocative, moody soundtrack and haunting audio design that heighten the emotional weight of Baby's journey.
Exclusively Handheld Design: Enjoy a tailor-made portable adventure crafted specifically to showcase the hardware features of the PlayStation Vita.
Instead of traditional D-pad or analog stick movement, you guide Baby by holding and dragging her finger-to-character on the touchscreen, forcing her to timidly follow your lead across the stages.
As you progress, Baby encounters various hearts that grant her unique elemental or physical properties (like a flame heart to burn obstacles or a balloon heart to float), which are essential for solving puzzles.
The game focuses more on creative puzzle-solving, tactile interaction, and atmospheric exploration rather than punishing action or twitch-reflex platforming difficulty.
The front touchscreen is used to pull and guide Baby and interact with foreground objects, while the rear touchpad is often used simultaneously to manipulate background layers and environmental hazards.
