Berserk and the Band of the Hawk brings the violent, grim world of Berserk to handheld hardware via Omega Force’s combat engine. Shifting away from the family-friendly tone of typical Dynasty Warriors titles, the game embraces the manga’s visceral nature, featuring intense gore, heavy cleaving attacks, and dark mature themes.
The single-player campaign spans over 30 hours, covering four primary story arcs: Golden Age, Black Swordsman, Conviction, and Hawk of the Millennium Empire. Narrative progression is told through high-definition anime cutscenes, in-engine cinematic sequences, and interactive dialogue. Players wield Guts’ massive Dragonslayer sword, executing wide sweeping strikes, sub-weapon cannon shots, and devastating Frenzy Gauge transformations to obliterate surrounding hordes.
Beyond Guts, the playable roster includes key allies and antagonists such as Griffith, Casca, Judea, Nosferatu Zodd, Serpico, Schierke, and Wyald, each offering distinct fighting styles and sub-weapons. Supplementing the main campaign is the "Endless Eclipse" mode—a subterranean survival dungeon where players fight down 100 floors of escalating demonic waves to earn rare accessories, crafting materials, and exclusive character outfits.
