Day of the Tentacle Remastered brings Tim Schafer’s legendary 1993 LucasArts adventure game to the PlayStation Vita with refined modern enhancements. When the mutated Purple Tentacle drinks sludge from Dr. Fred Edison's lab and decides to take over the world, Bernard and his friends travel through time to stop the toxic spill before it ever happens.
However, Dr. Fred's imitation diamond powering the "Chron-o-John" time machines shatters, scattering the trio across time. Hoagie lands 200 years in the past among America's Founding Fathers, Laverne is sent 200 years into a dystopian future ruled by tentacles, and Bernard remains in the present day. Players must switch between all three characters, using time-bending logic to flush items through time machines, alter history, and fix their vehicles to return home.
The remastered release allows players to toggle instantly between high-resolution hand-drawn artwork and the original 1993 pixel graphics. It also features re-recorded audio tracks, director commentary, fully digitized concept art galleries, and full support for both physical button cursors and intuitive PS Vita touchscreen controls.
