MouseCraft
Guide a colony of industrious mice on a quest for ultimat...
MonsterBag follows the surreal misadventures of Vee, a gentle and innocent backpack who loves his owner, a little girl named Nia. One fateful day, Vee gets left behind at a park bench and must traverse a suburban town to reunite with her. The catch? The town's inhabitants are entirely terrified of walking bags of eyes and tentacles, meaning Vee must sneak around, hide behind everyday objects, and manipulate the environment without ever being spotted by panicking humans.
The gameplay unfolds across a series of fixed, side-scrolling puzzle screens that play out like interactive cartoons. Vee can roll, hop, and possess inanimate objects (like trash cans, mailboxes, and benches) to remain unseen while humans walk by. If a human catches sight of Vee, sheer panic ensues, often leading to hilarious and cartoonishly gruesome slapstick demises. The PlayStation Vita version makes great use of the handheld's hardware, featuring crisp hand-drawn artwork, smooth touch-and-button inputs, and an eccentric charm that makes every level a joy to puzzle through.
