The story begins with the heroine, Beniyuri, waking up in a bizarre, eerie mansion with no recollection of who she is or how she arrived there. Before she can even process her amnesia, she is attacked by a grotesque, bloodthirsty monster and forced to run for her life. She soon discovers she is not alone: she encounters several young men trapped in the exact same predicament.
To survive and uncover the truth of their whereabouts, the group must hunt mysterious black butterflies and extract kaleidoscope shards from the monsters roaming the surreal realm. Utilizing a non-linear flowchart system, players navigate branching paths, uncover short side episodes, and experience a haunting mystery where the truth is far more tragic than expected.
