Game Overview

Yuki Yuna is a Hero: Memory of the Jukai (結城友奈は勇者である 樹海の記憶) is an action-adventure game developed and published by FuRyu for the PlayStation Vita. Released in Japan on February 26, 2015, it is the first console game adaptation of the Yuki Yuna is a Hero multimedia project. The story and events were supervised by series creator Takahiro and Studio Gokumi.

The game is set in the Divine Era year 300 and follows Sanshu Middle School second-year student Yuuki Yuuna and her fellow Hero Club members. On the surface the club performs helpful everyday activities, but their true mission is to enter the otherworldly Jukai and battle the Vertex that threaten the Divine Tree and humanity. The narrative features an original story that expands on the world of the anime.

Gameplay is split into two main parts: Event Mode, a visual novel-style segment with more than 70 fully voiced original daily-life episodes, and Action Mode, real-time 3D battles in which players control the heroines against waves of Vertex and larger threats. Special systems such as Mankai (full bloom) and sealing ceremonies add strategic depth to combat. Completing everyday events can strengthen the characters for battle.
